3. Information We Collect
3. Information We Collect
3.1 China Readiness Check
When you complete the Readiness Check, we collect or generate:
your email address;
the country or region you select, if you choose to provide it, and its related country code;
submission time, completion status, the page URL, and any
utm_campaignvalue associated with the page;the A or B version of the Check shown to you;
your derived readiness score, recommended guide, three highest-priority weaknesses, and readiness status for ten preparation modules: payment, mobile data, SMS, essential apps, accommodation, local transport and ride-hailing, attractions, trains, emergency and medical preparedness, and offline backup; and
evidence of your cross-border-transfer choice, including the consent status, consent time, and Privacy Policy version.
Your complete answer set is processed in your browser to calculate the result. It is not intentionally included in the Readiness Check webhook payload or stored in our Google Sheet. We also do not intentionally include your IP address in that payload. Framer, Make, and other infrastructure providers may nevertheless process limited connection, device, security, or log data—including an IP address—in operating and protecting their services, as described in Section 3.5 and their own privacy notices.
The country or region field is optional and based on your own selection. We do not use IP address to populate that submitted field.
3.2 Specialized inquiries through Contact Us
The Contact Us form is designed for customized, potentially paid services. Depending on the inquiry type you select, we may collect:
your first name, email address, and optional current country or region;
your chosen inquiry category: private trip preparation, signature China experiences, business and trade visits, or another request;
travel timing, trip length, destinations, traveler count, planning stage, and the support format or outcome you want;
interests, themes, or experience preferences for a signature experience;
organization, professional role, industry or product category, visit objective, event or destination, planning stage, and support needs for a business or trade visit;
a subject line and the details you choose to include for another request; and
evidence of your cross-border-transfer choice, including the consent status and related submission time.
We use this information to understand your request, assess whether it is within our scope and a suitable fit, respond within our stated service window, and—if appropriate—outline possible support, deliverables, timing, and fees. Submitting an inquiry is free and does not create a booking, guarantee availability, form a service contract, or require you to purchase anything.
Do not submit passport or visa numbers, payment-card information, account passwords, medical records or other medical information, exact accommodation addresses, precise live movements, or other highly sensitive information through the form. The form is not intended for emergencies, medical-travel case management, or visa-agency services. If you include information we did not request, we may delete or restrict it when reasonably practicable, subject to legal and security requirements.
3.3 Customer support and direct email
If you email us, we collect your email address, the content of your message, message metadata, and any attachment or other information you choose to send. Customer support is offered by direct email rather than a separate support form.
Please do not send passwords, complete payment details, passport or visa numbers, or unnecessary sensitive information by email. Do not use email for emergencies or urgent medical, safety, or legal assistance.
3.4 Purchases, if available
If and when the Site offers checkout through Lemon Squeezy, Lemon Squeezy acts as merchant of record and collects checkout, payment, billing, tax, fraud-prevention, order, refund, and chargeback information directly from you.
We may receive limited order information needed to provide the product and customer support, such as your name, email address, billing country, product and order identifiers, purchase amount, tax and transaction status, refund or chargeback status, and relevant timestamps. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number or payment-account credentials.
3.5 Technical, security, and aggregate Site information
When you visit or interact with the Site, Framer and other infrastructure providers may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested page, referring page, timestamps, and error, spam, or security signals.
We use Framer’s built-in analytics for aggregate Site statistics such as visits, pages, referral sources, countries, and device categories. Framer describes this analytics service as anonymized and cookie-free. We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, cross-site behavioral advertising tools, or session-replay tools on the Site.
We may also receive aggregate search-performance information through Google Search Console. Search Console reports are not used by us to identify individual Site visitors.

5. Legal Bases for Processing
5. Legal Bases for Processing
The legal basis depends on the information, purpose, and law that applies.
Where European Economic Area or United Kingdom law applies, we may rely on:
steps at your request or performance of a contract, to provide a requested result, reply, proposal, digital product, download, support service, or other service;
consent, including where consent is required for a transfer or an optional activity;
legitimate interests, to operate and secure a limited-scale digital publishing service, prevent misuse, respond to users, evaluate A/B versions in aggregate, improve content, and protect legal rights, where those interests are not overridden by your rights; and
legal obligations, including required tax, accounting, compliance, and dispute records.
Where the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China applies, we process personal information on a basis permitted by that law, such as your consent, the necessity to enter into or perform a contract at your request, compliance with a legal duty, or another basis expressly provided by law. Where separate consent is required for providing personal information to a recipient outside China, we request that separate consent before the submission is sent.
You may withdraw consent for future processing by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully completed before withdrawal. If the information and transfer are necessary to provide a feature you request, withdrawing or refusing consent may mean that we cannot provide that feature through the automated form.

6. Readiness Check, Derived Results, and A/B Testing
6. Readiness Check, Derived Results, and A/B Testing
The Readiness Check applies preset rules to the options you select and produces an informational score, readiness statuses, priority weaknesses, and a recommended guide. It is intended as general travel-preparation information, not as medical, legal, immigration, financial, safety, or governmental advice.
You may be shown version A or version B. We record the version source so that we can compare comprehension, completion, and conversion and improve the user experience. We evaluate these results at an aggregate level. We do not use the A/B version, your country, score, or weaknesses for differential pricing, eligibility decisions, or decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
The result is displayed in your browser after the submission is successfully processed. The current Check does not create a private result link, store a result token, or promise that a result link will remain available.

7. Specialized Inquiries and Customer Support
7. Specialized Inquiries and Customer Support
Specialized inquiries may relate to private trip preparation, distinctive experiences, or business and trade visits. We use inquiry information only to review and respond to the request, assess fit and feasibility, and discuss potential support that you asked about. A response may include a proposed scope, deliverables, availability, timing, or fee. This is a requested service response, not enrollment in general promotional marketing.
We aim to respond to complete inquiries and customer-support messages within 1–2 business days, but response times are not guaranteed during outages, holidays, unusually high volume, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
An initial inquiry does not create a client relationship, booking, agency relationship, fiduciary duty, or service contract. Any paid engagement is subject to separate confirmation and, where appropriate, separate service terms.

8. Email Communications
8. Email Communications
At launch, we use Gmail to receive and send messages and may use Google Apps Script or Make to support requested service workflows. We may send:
a response to your specialized inquiry or support request;
information you requested about scope, fit, timing, fees, or next steps;
a requested Readiness Check resource or checklist, if offered;
purchase, receipt, access, download, refund, or dispute information, if purchases are available; and
security, privacy, or material service notices when reasonably necessary.
Completing a Readiness Check, submitting Contact Us, emailing support, or purchasing a product does not subscribe you to newsletters or promotional marketing. We do not currently operate a promotional marketing program.
Under our current practices, we do not intentionally add email-open pixels or promotional link-click tracking to our service emails. Email and infrastructure providers may still generate ordinary delivery, security, and operational logs.
If we introduce promotional marketing later, we will first update this Policy and the relevant consent interface and provide any notices, unsubscribe method, and other safeguards required by applicable law. We will not treat an earlier service request as consent to the new marketing use.

Our providers may retain limited information under their own service settings, backup cycles, security practices, legal duties, fraud-prevention needs, or dispute requirements. When our applicable retention period ends, we delete, anonymize, or securely isolate the information under our control unless continued retention is required or permitted by law.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature and scale of the information we handle. These measures are intended to limit collection, restrict access, protect transmissions, manage retention, and reduce unauthorized use or disclosure.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If a personal-information incident occurs, we will investigate and provide notices to affected individuals and authorities where required by applicable law.

14. Cookies, Browser Storage, and Analytics
The Site uses Framer’s built-in, cookie-free analytics. The Readiness Check may use temporary browser state needed to maintain your progress and calculate or display your requested result. We do not use that state for cross-site behavioral advertising.
The Site does not currently use non-essential advertising or behavioral-analytics cookies. If we add a technology that requires consent, we will update this Policy and deploy an appropriate consent mechanism before activating it where required.
A third-party page that you choose to visit, including a checkout page, may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy and cookie notices.
Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, Global Privacy Control and browser “Do Not Track” signals do not currently change how our Site operates. We will recognize such signals where required if our practices change.
